      From his earliest days of childhood, David has been involved with Tennessee Walking Horses. While his family was primarily interested in show horses, David’s interest turned toward broodmares and the halter division. Some of his proudest moments were winning the National Futurity Weanling Stallion title and the Weanling World Grand Championship. Other proud moments were he and his family’s many wins in the Mare and Foal classes at the Celebration. In the early 80’s, David’s passion for the horses and the shows went in a different direction. He became a noted equine photographer and served as the official photographer for countless horse shows around the country, including the National Futurity, the Celebration and the International Grand Championships. After retiring from photography to help with his family’s business, he became active on several boards, having served as president of the Walking Horse Owners’ Association, president of the Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders’ and Exhibitors’ Association and chairman of the National Horse Show Commission. David would like the Tennessee Walking Horse Foundation to serve as a means to promote and support the welfare of the Tennessee Walking Horse and preserve it’s rich history.
